* The weekly Saturday Endurance session is Endurance 1000 timed distance swimming.
Training Session Information
Swimmers are required to register their attendance via the Acuity Scheduling app or browser version prior to the commencement of the session. One of our volunteer coaches is rostered for each training session and should be notified before commencement of any personal injuries, illnesses or plans to leave early that may impact a swimmer's ability to participate in the session. The first 15 minutes consists of a structured warm up, followed by the coach's briefing and any announcements.
The main sets follow and these are tailored to both the capability of the swimmers in each lane and the focus at that time of year. The cooler months are pool meet season when all strokes are practiced while endurance sets and open water skills are more common over summer. A cool down finishes the official session, with coffee, cake and conversation as optional extras!
